Printing the pattern
Home printer, copy shop or plotter, and putting the pages together.
- PDF for home printers (A4 or Letter): the booklet (style, fabric, materials, cutting layouts, the sewing steps) and then the pattern tiled over pages, with a map of the pages.
- PDF for a copy shop (A0): the pattern on as few A0 sheets as it takes.
- Full-size PDF: the booklet and the pattern on one large page, for a plotter or wide printer.
- SVG to open in Inkscape or Illustrator, and DXF (AAMA layers) for pattern CAD and cutting machines.
- Print at 100% or actual size, never “fit to page”.
- Measure the test square: it must be 10 cm (or 4 inches).
- Trim each page along its frame on the right and bottom, and tape the pages together in order: rows are letters, columns numbers, and the edges say which page comes next.
