• Standard chart symbols: knit, purl, yarn over, k2tog, ssk, centred double decrease, make 1, slip and twisted stitches
• Cables: 1/1, 2/2 and 3/3 right and left crosses
• Written instructions row by row, with repeats, for flat knitting or in the round
• Stitch counts checked on every row, and long floats in stranded colourwork (Fair Isle) flagged
• Gauge, finished size and how many stitches to cast on
• A preview of the knitted fabric, colours from a picture, PNG export and printing
• Intarsia, mosaic knitting and panels; sizes, shaping and yarn amounts
• PDF pattern booklets, written patterns imported into charts, and bitmap export for knitting machines
