Colours
Warp and weft colours, stripes, favourite colours and colourways.
- Click a swatch in the colour strips (above the threading, right of the treadling) to change one end or pick.
- In the settings, choose a colour and Set all warp or Set all weft to colour every end or pick.
- Colours and presets… (settings, or Tools) makes stripe sequences, and 17 classic patterns with previews: plain weave, houndstooth, puppytooth, Glen check, gun club check, log cabin, gingham, buffalo check, windowpane, tattersall, basket check, hairline and pin stripes, herringbone, bird’s eye, denim and a broken-twill check. They start in the colour theme’s colours (dark, light and an accent); change them before choosing. Your own presets are there too: star any saved pattern under Load to use it as one.
- A stripe you apply is remembered: it shows under Colours in the settings, where you can change its colours and thread counts, add or remove stripes, and drag stripes (by the handle, or with the arrow keys) into a new order; the warp or weft follows as you go. Forget stops showing it.
- Clicking any colour box opens the picker: basic colours, your favourites (save the colour you have with the star), and palettes saved from your favourites, each of which can be hidden or shown. Edit removes favourites, palettes or colours from them; More colours… opens your browser’s own colour picker. Favourites and palettes are kept in this browser, for all three apps.
- Tools › Colourways shows the same cloth in other colours side by side.
- Turn on Thread colours in boxes to fill threading and treadling boxes with their thread colour.
