Saving, sharing and printing
Save, load, import, export, share, booklets and printing.
- Save keeps the chart in this browser, by name. Load opens, renames or deletes saved charts.
- The chart you are working on is kept automatically.
- Load › Back up or restore… saves every pattern from Weave, Knit and Sew Patterner, with your colours and settings, to one file. Restore it in any browser, such as on a new computer or phone, to bring your patterns there: they are added beside the ones already saved.
- Import: a chart file, or a written pattern you paste in (Row 1: k2, p2…).
- Export: a pattern booklet (PDF) with gauge, materials, the chart and key, and the written rows; the chart as a picture with its key; the written pattern as text; or a chart file to open again.
- Share makes a link that opens the chart for anyone, to copy or send to Pinterest, Facebook, X, WhatsApp or email (on a phone, through its share menu). It also makes a picture of the knitted fabric: square for Instagram, tall for Pinterest.
- Export › Bitmap (BMP): the chart one pixel per stitch, row 1 at the bottom, in its colours (A first, then B…). Knitting machine software such as AYAB and img2track opens these.
- Print prints the chart and the written pattern.
